The CBSE framework, thoughtfully delivered
Hayagrivas International School follows the CBSE curriculum, guided by NCERT-supplied material alongside selected titles from leading publishers. The school adheres to Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) under the guidance of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
Exam patterns, evaluation patterns, and Formative and Summative Assessments all follow CBSE directions and guidelines. Periodic tests and assessments are conducted for each student through the year, and every student receives an Annual Academic Calendar well in advance so that families can plan their holidays.
Languages
We treat English as the first language and Hindi or Tamil as a second language across all classes. Hindi is a compulsory second language for students who join from Kindergarten. Throughout, we maintain a 100% English-speaking ambience, with particular importance given to developing each student's leadership and public-speaking skills.
The academic session
The academic session runs from April to March. The vacation period begins in the last week of March and continues to the end of May. Admissions open from January and close around the middle of April.

No-Book Saturdays
The days we put the textbooks away
The first and third Saturdays of every month are dedicated entirely to co-curricular activities (CCA) — "No Book Days" on which students are not required to carry a single textbook. It's a deliberate part of our week, built to develop creativity, teamwork and expression alongside academics.
Every student is also taken on an enjoyable school tour once a year, in addition to regular field trips, and the school celebrates almost every function on campus — giving our generation a living knowledge of our rich culture.
